It's already week 2 of my 52 Weeks of Happy!
I'm crocheting a scarf this week and the beautiful leafy-green colour is making me very happy! The yarn is Patons Zhivago and has been in my stash for the longest time, so I'm glad to have finally found a use for it. I made the pattern up myself... it's really simple, and it's the same on both sides, which is always good for a scarf :) If anyone is interested I can post the pattern.
Happy No.2 is this Hanging Heart a la Lucy - doesn't she always come up with the best ideas! Lucy found the pattern for the heart on Flickr (thank you Bea G!) and had the brilliant idea of adding one of her own flowers and leaves. When I saw it on Lucy's blog I had to get my hook out and make one for myself. I love it so much that I started another one straight away -this time in blue - and I'm planning to fill it with lavender and hang it in my wardrobe. Of course I'll be showing it off once it's done :)
Happy No.3 -I was very happy to post a little parcel off to my two gorgeous grandaughters this week. I just hope that it arrives safely...the post between Turkey and the UK is a bit hit and miss to say the least. Come on PTT (the Turkish Post Office)... pull your winter socks up!
And finally, the weather has been very, very cold this week, and I've been drinking lots of lovely frothy coffee every evening when I get home from work... I just LOVE frothy coffee!
Happy Weekend to you all!

yes, i also liked the heart Lucy made:) yours also looks stunning!scarf's color is very nice, I have almost the same in my stash:)
ReplyDeletehave a happy day!
Anna
Hi Anna, I love using up yarn from my stash... it gives me a good excuse to buy more :)
DeleteGood afternoon Lilli, I am keeping my fingers crossed that your parcel arrives. I understand your problem as we used to live in Cyprus and the postal service was really hit and miss. We only received post when the young "postman's" (I use that term loosely) basket on the front of his moped was full up. Some things could arrive quickly and others could take a couple of months to arrive. It all depended on the fullness of his basket.
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of the scarf you are crocheting, perfect for spring. Hearts are something I love, I have sewn them but never crocheted them, so I am going to pop over and visit Lucy to pick up the pattern.
Enjoy your frothy coffee when you get home. Best Wishes Daphne
Hi Daphne, I love your recollection of the 'postman', I can almost picture him!
DeleteI'm sure you'll love Lucy's Heart. I think it's a perfect little last-minute gift that you can work up in an hour or so. I'm planning to make a few more, some with flowers and some with buttons.
P.S. I've just had my frothy coffee... it was delicious :)
Gorgeous as usual!

Thanks Rebecca, I wish I could have made a couple of the Hearts earlier so that I could have put them in the parcel for the girls. Next time!
DeleteCute scarf and the coffee looks delicious! Elisabeth xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Elisabeth xx
DeleteI made two of those heart hangers last night and today! I just finished up this afternoon and will be posting the pictures of them tomorrow. I love them! Looks like we had the same thing going at the same time. Yours turned out very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pammy Sue, I'll be popping over to look at your pics :)
DeleteGood Evening Lilli, I have tried to contact you, but have discovered you are a "no reply blogger" did you realise. I wanted to let you know about the photo situation. If you download Google Chrome, then log into Blogger and use it in the normal way, everything will be fine. I used it for today's post and did not have a problem. I think Google are wanting us to use Chrome as it appears the uploading of photos are not going to be sorted out in normal Blogger. Hope this is helpful.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes
Daphne
Hello Daphne, no I didn't realise that I was a 'no reply blogger'. I don't actually know what that means, but I'm going to check through my settings and see if I can find out and rectify it! Thank you for letting me know, and also for the info regarding Chrome. A lot of people seem to think that Chrome is better than Internet Explorer so this is the push I need to give it a whirl.
DeleteThanks again :)
Lovely scarf! The color is very nice and so is the heart cute:)
ReplyDeleteI too am facing prob uploading pics through blogger and I don't maintain any web albums. I was about to ask you since you do lot of image software trials, you might have found some solution to this. For my past two posts, I am uploading my pics through HTML mode. I will give a try to google chrome too.
Hi Preeti, the only solution I found was to upload my pictures to Picasa first...from there they will upload directly onto your blog. I'm not a big fan of Picasa though, I find it cumbersome. However, as Daphne kindly informed me, if you use Chrome there isn't a problem.
DeleteI love the color of your scarf...and that coffee looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jessica, and welcome to my blog :)
